We had a great meeting last week. It looks like we will start moving to the Google Group for meeting announcements, and such because of email issues.
The time and date for the next meeting is still to be determined, our goal for now is to get a location and start planning for a summer of robot building and a fall robot competition.

All,
We are going to have a single meeting for November and December. It will be Saturday, December 1st, at 12:00pm.
We are going to have cookies and plenty of robots. I will be testing my robot Feynman-Jr and teaching it to walk down the sidewalk in front of the house. Bring your robot or your ideas to the event.
Email me for directions at: info@columbusrobotics.org.
Thanks,
Scott

We will not have a formal meeting this time, rather just a brief introduction, then we break into talks and informal discussion groups. Some topics will be:
1. Robot Building
2. Artificial Intelligence
3. Competitions, News and Trends
4. General Discussion about programming and engineering.
5. Organization / Website / Future Events / Etc.
I would like to use these discussions to share ideas and help each other with our projects.
I will also be holding another Robot-Building Event at 12PM, Saturday, October 27th.
Thanks,
Scott

No pictures but, Bruce started building his EBay Robot, Scott worked on Feynman Jr., Carlo helped out Bruce & Scott, Larry brought one of his Budget Robotics projects and some sensors and Peter evangelized the virtues of C over Java, C# or any of these new fangled languages…

Our July meeting was very cool. Carlo told us about ProgramD, a chat bot implementation of A.L.I.C.E.
Scott ran out of time but was able to show a few cool things with his robot Carnot, including some text-to-speech, serial-http bridging and motor control using the Serial Servo Controller.
We also started to have a bot building event during the last Saturday of the month.
